It is the mission of FDPOC staff to work closely in the intersections where ideas and policy meet. Our core aim is to ensure that human rights are placed squarely on influential international agendas, where the promotion of pluralism and the defense of democratic values, as well as the protection and support of advocates of Democracy and their families, will receive the support and implementation they deserve. Essential and parallel to this view is a continuous program of Democracy training and the investigation of human rights violations in Iran, Saudi Arabia and Syria.

At FDPOC, therefore, it is our vision not only to focus our efforts on the professional policy community, but also to dedicate attention and resources to the needs and role of Iranian, Saudi and Syrian intellectuals, in-country advocates of freedom, and grass-roots activists. Supporting them through both practical and moral means in the pursuit of the high ideals of the rights of citizens is, thus, an indisputable and integral part of our work and commitment.
